Technical skills

I am highly proficient with the Adobe Creative Cloud including Illustrator, InDesign and Photoshop and have some peripheral knowledge of AfterEffects. Specifically, I am an InDesign expert and continue to work to become just as skilled in each program.

Branding design is something that I love to do which has allowed me to gain experience creating and managing assets for both print and web. My knowledge of web design is intermediate, but is always improving! SquareSpace is my go-to for website designs, but I also have some experience working with WordPress.

The origin of my design skills in the Adobe Creative Cloud were born out of my years of experience utilizing the Microsoft Office, including some Excel, Word, Publisher, and mainly Powerpoint.

With a background in Product Design, some of the programs I am most skilled at include SolidWorks and KeyShot which are 3D design and rendering programs aimed at producing real products. I use these skills in conjunction with my knowledge of 3D printing to realize to-scale mockups of products for the purpose of taking ideas from concepts to reality.

DESIGN PHILOSOPHY

I am a process-driven designer who enjoys designing for the user. Above all else is my desire to help people in some way and make a lasting impact through the power of design.

Because of this, I strive to use design as a communicative tool to translate my values whether through physical or digital products, printed materials or through concepts.

About Me

I've lived a pretty nomadic life, which began in Stone Mountain, Georgia. I moved to England at an early age and lived there for several years before moving to Hong Kong. During all of my travels abroad the thing I take away most of all are the aspects of differing cultures. Best of all though, was getting to try all of the food.

Traveling opened me up in many ways and made me the person that I am today, and I think it made me a very open-minded person as a result. I moved back to Georgia in the United States after a couple of years in Hong Kong, but soon after moved to the Chicago area.

Orland Park, Illinois was where I had lived for the longest period of time before going off to study Product Design at Drexel University in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.
